How do I make a purchase and get the data downloaded to my computer?
1. Click on the PayPal button for the database you wish to purchase and you will be redirected to the official PayPal website. Our website information will automatically populate the invoice so please VERIFY the database name, the database price and complete your purchase. DO NOT CLOSE the Paypal purchase completion page yet.
2. On the PayPal purchase completion page, click the link "Return to Real Estate Datalyst" and you will be redirected to your SPECIFIC data download page.
3. Click on your download link, select SAVE when prompted and download the zipped folder to your desktop. Open the zipped folder from your desktop and open the spreadsheet file to inspect your data. From here you can SAVE a working copy of the spreadsheet file and store the zipped folder as a backup of your data.
Why does Datalyst use PayPal exclusively?
We have two very good reasons.
1. It gives our customers the choice of using a wide range of credit cards, the ability to use deposits from their bank account or use their PayPal account directly.
2. Unlike many other merchant services, PayPal DOES NOT forward any of your credit card information to us. That alone keeps us completely out of your financial information which increases your security when you do business with us.
Can I resell the data?
That depends on what License type you purchase from us. A normal purchase of data from our website insitutes a Limited License to use the data which DOES NOT ALLOW nor include the ability to resell the data. On the other hand, a Commercial License to our data can be purchased that DOES ALLOW the resell rights to our data. Please see the different License types below for further explanation and read our Terms and Conditions for more information.
What is the difference between a Limited License and a Commercial License?
A Limited License: This License type grants you a personal, nontransferable and nonexclusive license to possess & use our marketing data solely for your direct marketing, research, reference or customer prospecting purposes and DOES NOT include the right to resell the data. A Limited License conveys with all data purchases from our website.
A Commercial License: This License type is an UPGRADE and can only be purchased directly - not from the website. It grants you the ability to resell the data and use the data in a commercial capacity with certain marketing and non-competitive restrictions. The data downloaded in a zipped folder so what do I do if I don't have a "zip" utility on my computer?
We utilize "zipped" or "compressed" folders to increase the download speed to our customers and to save space on our servers. Most computers today come preloaded with a "Zip" or Compression Utility. If for some reason your computer does not have this utility, you can always simply purchase one for a small fee or you can download a FREEWARE program called "7-Zip" from this site www.7-Zip.org. We are not affiliated with "7-Zip", we do not collect any referral fees from them, but many of our customers continue to use their free utility in lieu of purchasing one.
What file type do you use for your data?
We use Excel 2007 Version and Excel 97-03 Version spreadsheets. The data files are then zipped, uploaded to our servers and downloaded by you directly to your computer. Excel 2007 Version is an improved file type that can hold 1,048,576 rows of data per worksheet while the Excel 97-03 Version only holds 65,536 rows of data per worksheet. Even though Excel 2010 Version is on the market, we know that most customers do not use it as readily as the prior versions. We DO NOT readily use CSV file types anymore because the data cannot be formatted and saved in a professional manner. However, at your request, we can easily convert the data to CSV or TXT files if needed.
Other websites advertise "so-called" guarantees, so how is your Money Back Guarantee different?
